In 2012, after 25 years managing an IT group for a major petroleum company and 12 years as a professional photographer, it was time to go full-time RV and hit the road. Knee replacement surgery made it impossible to get in and out of our travel trailer, so I had to find a better solution. The standard steps wouldn't work. No portable steps or decks were available on the market that could be easily moved for travel. I tried many ideas that were less than successful and finally came up with a design that could fold for storage while remaining strong and sturdy. After many failed attempts with wood, steel, high-density polyethylene, and structural aluminum, I turned to aircraft-grade aluminum. At this point, I began the patent application process. To make the design work, I needed custom-made extrusion dies for the manufacturing process. I started by building steps and decks based on orders as I traveled around the country. As orders and sales grew, I needed a permanent facility, which is now a 7,000 square foot production facility on 5 acres. ~Gary Holley, Owner
One of the first ideas for steps and deck for an RV. While it served it's purpose it was heavy and bulky to carry around. The steps and decks have changed over the years to become what it is today. Lightweight, strong and portable made of aircraft grade aluminum.
